Earlier this year at the New York Auto Show, Hyundai unveiled not one, but two new Santa Fe models. There was the new five-seat Santa Fe Sport and a concept version of the new seven-seat Santa Fe. It wasn’t until the 2012 LA Auto Show that Hyundai would reveal the production model of the new Santa Fe. The new Santa Fe is eight inches longer than the outgoing model and rides on a longer wheelbase. The added length allows the new Santa Fe to comfortably seat adults in the third row and provide 30 cubic feet of extra space. Power comes from a 3.3L V6 producing 290 HP that either goes through the front-wheels or all four wheels. John Y. Shon, a Hyundai Product Planning Manager talks with with Autobytel’s Editor-in-Chief, Michelle Naranjo about the new Santa Fe.
