The 2026 Lucid Gravity is only the second vehicle from this luxury EV brand. The first was the Lucid Air, which is a stunning sedan with a beautiful interior, great handling, and breathtaking performance. It raked in awards, including the prestigious 2023 World Luxury Car of the Year. The brand is hoping to continue that winning streak with the introduction of its first SUV.
The Gravity boasts sleek lines and a luxurious interior with seating for up to seven, along with impressive range and thrilling performance. Whether cruising down the highway with the family for a summer road trip or winding through country roads, the Lucid Gravity is a compelling premium option.
The Gravity’s exterior is refined with plenty of curves to keep its SUV dimensions from looking bulky. You can see hints of the Air sedan in its styling, but this is a wholly different vehicle with its own SUV character. It has a 0.24 drag coefficient, making it one of the slipperiest SUVs around in addition to giving it that sleek, look.
It has a sculpted, dynamic design ithat ncludes a fantastic rear wing that creates a striking profile, while optional 20- to 23-inch wheels add personality without going too far. This is a luxury vehicle in a refined, elegant way without unnecessary flash. It stands out simply for its reserved, unfussy character.

The interior of the Gravity has a futuristic vibe. This includes a 34-inch curved touchscreen with the instrument cluster and infotainment. There’s a second 12.6-inch touchscreen called the pilot screen just below it on the center console. This was a vertical screen low on the dashboard in the Air, but it’s a landscape screen higher up in the Gravity, which makes it easier to use.
Another change is that the controls on the left of the larger screen were static in the Air, but are dynamic in the Gravity. This lets Lucid hide things you don’t need, like the frunk when you’re driving, and makes the presentation less cluttered. Standard features include wireless device charging, 10-speaker Surreal Sound audio, and two USB-C ports each for the first and second row. Wireless Apple CarPlay is also standard with wireless Android Auto coming soon.

There’s room for five in the Gravity with up to seven when you add the optional third row. The front seats are heated and 12-way power adjustable with an optional heated steering wheel and second row. The driver’s seat offers good support for longer drives with options including ventilation and massage for an added bit of luxury.
While leather seats are available as an upgrade, the standard material is PurLuxe, a premium leather alternative that has a beautiful look and feel for those who prefer to avoid leather products. It’s a spacious interior that is all about refined luxury rather than flash. If it’s cargo you’re after, then you have 8.1 cubic feet in the frunk with up to 119.0 cubic feet behind the first row.

An SUV isn’t always the most engaging vehicle to drive, especially when it’s something large enough to manage three rows of seating. The Gravity defies that expectation with a smooth, elegant ride that hides even the roughest of surfaces thanks to its adaptive air suspension. Slinging it through winding roads with tight hairpin turns, there was minimal body roll with responsive steering.
Standard all-wheel drive enhances overall control with a choice of Smooth, Swift, or Sprint drive modes. These tune the suspension, handling, and performance from easy and relaxed for road trips to sporty and aggressive for more spirited driving, which was great in those hairpin turns. A Terrain mode for off-roading will be available later this year through an over-the-air update. The Gravity balance SUV versatility with the performance driving enthusiasts crave.

One of the most striking features of an SUV is its instant torque that presses you back in your seat when you hit the accelerator. Lucid is one of the most aggressive options out there with 828 horsepower and 909 lb-ft of torque from its dual motors. This gives it a 0-60 mph time of just 3.4 seconds, which is quite a feat considering this is an SUV and not some sporty little sedan.
The drive modes let you choose just how much you want to focus on performance. Smooth is the most relaxed of the lot and is well-suited to long highway drives. Swift sits in the middle with a firmer suspension and better responsiveness for a more engaging drive. If you are all-in on performance, then go with Sprint for the best acceleration and crisp, sporty steering.

Lucid’s DreamDrive is an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) that is available in three levels. The base offering that is standard on the Gravity is DreamDrive 2, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane protection, and emergency braking. The midrange upgrade is DreamDrive Premium. It adds hands-free driving with lane change assist and 3D surround view.
At the top is DreamDrive Pro, which includes traffic light detection, automatic lane changes with additional features launching in late 2025. It’s easy to use with a minimal learning curve and operates in a way that mimics human driving, so it’s easy to trust it and get comfortable. It is not a self-driving feature, but it reduces the tedium of longer drives.

Range continues to be a major issue for those considering EVs. The Lucid Grand Touring should set your mind at ease with an EPA-estimated range of up to 450 miles per charge in its two-row configuration. That’s enough that you won’t need to stop and charge at all on the average day. It also comes with a native North American Charging Standard (NACS) port giving access to Tesla Superchargers without an adapter.
If you’re on a road trip, then your downtime charging is far less than with shorter range EVS. In addition, its ability to fast charge adds 200 miles of range in less than 10.5 minutes at a 400 kW DC fast charger. If range anxiety has kept you from buying an EV, this could be the one to change your mind.

The Gravity’s price tag is steep, but this is a luxury, electric SUV from an exclusive brand. Lucid is still a new kid on the automotive landscape, and part of its lure is its exclusivity. Currently, the only trim available is the Grand Touring, which starts at $96,550, including the destination fee. A Touring trim is set to be available for order at the end of the year with a starting price of $79,900, which is better for those who have a less expansive budget.
The base price on the Grand Touring is for two rows. If you want the third row, that's an extra $2,900. The Tech Package adds $3,200, while the Comfort and Convenience Package tacks on another $2,500. The most advanced version of DreamDrive adds another $6,750. The options push up the price quickly so choose wisely.

The Lucid Gravity is a needed addition to the Lucid lineup. Sedans just aren’t as popular as they once were with SUVs now the vehicle of choice. The Gravity adds that option with unique luxury style, plenty of power, and good range. It also has great driving dynamis and a comfortable interior with room for the whole family.
It’s not simply the Air in SUV form. This a wholly new vehicle geared toward families with improvements throughout, especially when it comes to technology. Its biggest challenge is price, but this is a luxury SUV. Considered in that segment, the Gravity is a winner for those who are looking at buying a family-friendly, electric SUV.
