Lexus’ first attempt at a compact luxury hybrid was with the HS 250h and, to be frank, it was a bit of a flop. Their second attempt, the CT 200h, was shall we say much better.
To start with, the CT 200h is unlike any other Lexus on the marketplace. First it's a hatchback which is a first for the brand. Second, this CT 200h is equipped with the F-Sport package which adds some aggression via a new grille, set of seventeen-inch alloy wheels with a graphite color finish, and a larger rear spoiler. Inside, the F-Sport adds leather seats, aluminum sport pedals, and a unique F Sport steering wheel.
Under the hood is a Lexus Hybrid Drive system which uses 1.8L DOHC 16-valve with intake VVT-i inline-four engine paired with an electric motor and Nickel Metal Hydride battery pack. Total power output stands at 134 horsepower is paired with a CVT. The EPA rates the 2013 CT 200h F-Sport 43 City/40 Highway/42 Combined. The CT200h F-Sport also comes with an upgraded suspension to make it more sporty.
A 2013 Lexus CT 200h F-Sport starts at $33,050. Competitors to the CT 200h F-Sport include the Audi A3 TDi and Volkswagen GTi.
