The 2016 Honda HR-V is an all-new automobile from the Japanese automaker. Autobytel's Dan Grey took a spin behind the wheel of the 2016 HR-V, which delivers on its promise of a compact crossover that combines the agility and performance of the fun loving Fit, with loads more cargo capacity and ground clearance. The result is an elevated driving position that puts occupants above traffic without the fuel cost of a full-fledged CUV - and by all accounts, a crowd favourite.
Starting at $19,115, the HR-V is powered by a 1.8 Liter four cylinder engine mated to either a fuel sipping Continuously Variable Transmission or a good old-fashioned six-speed manual gearbox. Specs record it pumping out a total of 141 HP while returning an estimated 28 MPG around town and as much as 35 MPG on the highway.
Competitors for the 2016 Honda HR-V include the Nissan Juke, Jeep Renegade, and Buick Encore.
