Brand Gifting 5 Sorentos as Part of NBA Performance Awards
As part of its role as the Official Automotive Partner of the NBA, Kia is donating five brand-new 2015 Kia Sorento crossovers to charities selected by the five winners of this year's Kia NBA Performance Awards. The gifts are part of an ongoing effort that has seen Kia deliver more than 30 new vehicles to charities, in NBA players' names, since launching the award program during 2008.
This year's hardware honors some of the best performances of the 2013-2014 NBA regular season, starting with Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder. After a quick spin around the Internet, it appears that Jamal Crawford is in line to earn his second Sixth Man trophy, but since he plays for the L.A. Clippers—still owned, for the moment, by Donald Sterling—execs are still pondering exactly how to present the prize.
Nonetheless, you can be sure that when that's all resolved, a 2015 Kia Sorento also will go to Crawford's charity of choice.
