Off-road-ready Heavy-duty Pickup Boasts Premium Style
Combining Denali-esque levels of style with the additional benefits of the brand's Z71 off-road package, the new 2015 GMC Sierra All Terrain HD will cap off the Professional Grade division's heavy-duty pickup roster, which has been completely redesigned for the new model year.
Declared Duncan Aldred, vice president of GMC Sales and Marketing: “The new 2015 GMC Sierra HD lineup helps customers tackle tough jobs more comfortably, and with the new All Terrain HD, they can do it with greater style. Equally comfortable whether it’s a night on the town or traversing a remote job site, it has all the capability that customers demand from a GMC heavy-duty truck on the job.”
Now, as for the details, it's perhaps best to approach this package by considering it an upgrade to the 2015 GMC Sierra HD 2500 or 3500 4X4 models, with double- or crew-cab configurations and all of the content of the upper-level Sierra SLE or SLT trims. All Terrain owners then get to choose between a standard 6.0-liter, gas-powered V8 (with 360 hp/301 lb.-ft. of torque) or a 6.6-liter Duramax V8 turbodiesel (making 397 hp/765 lb.-ft. of torque), and welcome additional enhancements including:
Pricing for the 2015 GMC Sierra All Terrain HD has yet to be released, but the brand has announced a summer on-sale date for the truck. Also interesting: One of the press images for the new trim package shows an All Terrain version of the division's new midsize pickup, the 2015 GMC Canyon. And with the possibility that we'll see similarly branded versions of the rest of the lineup, we can keep our fingers crossed for an eventual GMC Terrain All Terrain.
