Best-selling EV Named to "Best Cars of 2014" List
2014 nissan leaf
According to the Good Housekeeping Institute, the 2014 Nissan LEAF is a great choice for today's drivers and, in fact, one of "The Best Cars of 2014." That's the latest news from the November issue of Good Housekeeping magazine, which features the 2014 Nissan LEAF in a special automotive buyer's guide designed to highlight the top choices for U.S. families.
As noted by the Institute experts:
Just keep in mind that the EPA-certified range of the 2014 Nissan LEAF is 84 miles, while the agency's estimate of fuel-cost savings compares the all-electric LEAF to "the average new vehicle."
Said Fred Diaz, senior vice president of Nissan Sales & Marketing and Operations in the United States: "As more than 64,000 American LEAF owners will tell you, the economics of going electric are simple: Buy a Nissan LEAF and save money by conveniently charging at home instead of paying more at the gas pump. But the real beauty of the Nissan LEAF is that it’s roomy and, best of all, fun to drive, which is why it received this honor from the Good Housekeeping Research Institute."
Separately, with vehicles like the 2014 Nissan LEAF on its roster, the Nissan Motor Company recently earned some important recognitions as part of the CDP Global 500 Climate Change Report. In that important annual survey, designed to promote corporate dissemination of environmental performance, Nissan received perfrect grades in both the Climate Disclosure Leadership Index and the Climate Performance Leadership Index.
