2014 Ford F-150 CNG Debuts At AltCar Expo

Ford chose the 2013 AltCar Expo in Santa Monica, California to introduce their latest member to their pickup lineup, the 2014 F-150 CNG. The new model is offered in two different versions; a flex-fuel model where the truck can run on either gasoline or compress natural gas, or a model that runs on natural gas. Jon H. Coleman, Ph.D., Ford's Fleet Sustainability & Technology Manager explained that companies were asking Ford constantly when a CNG version of the F-150 would be coming out as they had other models in their lineup with this option.

Even though the CNG option for the F-150 was designed was for fleets, Ford has said that consumers will be available to order an F-150 with CNG. Also if you happen to own a F-150 CNG and live in California, Ford says they're working on getting the model a white HOV lane access sticker that will allow you to drive in the carpool lane with just one person.
