The 2014 Dodge Durango won’t see a lower price for the new model year—in fact, it will see a price bump of $300—but customers will enjoy the next best thing: Higher levels of standard content. Per the brand, the new $29,795 starting point for the 2014 Dodge Durango includes $3,500 in extra value, backed by now-standard features like:
It’s also worth noting that the 2014 Dodge Durango’s eight-speed automatic will be enabling 15 percent jumps in fuel economy with both its standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine and its high-powered HEMI V8. And that will include an expected EPA grade of 25 mpg highway, a best-in-class mark for seven-seat crossovers.
Clearly, the brand is expecting the 2014 Dodge Durango to continue the momentum of the 2013 model, which saw an 88 percent spike in sales in July, on its way to a year-to-date growth rate of 38 percent.
"Dodge Durango is on a tremendous run, with nine months of consecutive growth," said Tim Kuniskis, president and CEO of the Dodge Brand. "The new 2014 Durango builds on that momentum, raising the bar for performance, technology and style. With best-in-class power, towing, infotainment and fuel economy; the new Durango offers a combination unmatched by any other SUV or Crossover in America.”
