Engine and exhaust changes make the new 911 Turbo faster and more responsive to throttle inputs. Proof positive is the car’s 0-60 acceleration time of only 3.7 seconds, making the 2007 model the fastest 911 Turbo ever and the only one to reach 60 clicks in less than four seconds. And that’s without the optional Sports Chrono Package Plus, which uses its overboost function to drop that time to only 3.5 seconds.

Our 911 Turbo test car was equipped with the six-speed Getrag manual transmission. Porsche says the five-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission shifts much faster than any human can, resulting in even faster 0-60 acceleration times than the manual.
