2007 Honda Fit

Comprehensive innovation has been applied to the 2007 Honda Fit’s cabin. Five different “modes” are possible, depending on the number of passengers, and the shape and volume of the cargo. “Normal” mode leaves the seats in a conventional configuration, with space for up to five passengers. “Tall” mode is when the rear seat bottoms are folded upward against the seatbacks, leaving four vertical feet of space from the floor to ceiling. “Refresh” mode leaves the rear seat untouched but folds the front chairs completely flat. The tops of the front buckets touch the rear seat bottoms, yielding an unbroken plane for stretching out or napping. “Utility” mode folds the rear seatback down flat against the bottom cushion, and the entire unit slips into the floor space, creating a flat and deep loading surface from the liftgate to just behind the front seats. Finally, “Long” mode folds all the seats but the driver’s flat, perfect for hauling lumber or surfboards.

Other interior highlights include front, side-impact and side-curtain airbags, a four-speaker single-CD audio system with speed-sensitive volume, air conditioning, power windows/locks/mirrors, gauges that are backlit in blue, and a rear window defroster.
