The Patriot is Jeep’s attempt to build a vehicle meant primarily for driving on paved surfaces and designed to compete with the likes of the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4. Meant to attract a new breed of buyers to the Jeep lineup, the Patriot is car-based rather than truck-based and will appear in showrooms for 2007. The 2007 Jeep Patriot will fall just under the Liberty in the lineup and becomes Jeep’s new entry-level vehicle.
