Suzuki hasn’t had much success in the small car market – surprising, since that’s about all it sells. The Swift enjoyed brief notoriety as a capable pocket rocket about 15 years ago, and folks in the know could overlook the Aerio’s decidedly odd proportions for its rally car feel from behind the wheel, strong engine, and available 4WD system. The new 2007 Suzuki SX4 is a nice looking car, and the company promises that it will be fun to drive, too. Plus, it’s available with 4WD, a rarity in this class. Couple good looks with tossable handling, decent fuel economy, all-weather capability, and a long warranty, and you would think Suzuki has a winner in the SX4.
