Lincoln used a Zephyr media event in New York City to unveil an advanced concept version of the 2007 Lincoln Aviator. Whereas the 2005 model was based largely on the Ford Explorer, the 2007 model will be billed as a crossover vehicle. Wheel choices will run from 18 to 20 inches, there will be a panoramic moonroof, the rear LED taillight spans the width of the Aviator, and the chrome slotted Lincoln grille will be prominently displayed front and center.
