The 2007 Pontiac G5 Coupe, like its sibling the Chevrolet Cobalt Coupe, is an attractive little two-door, with a nice rising beltline, slightly flared wheel wells, and a few styling cues where the headlights meet the hood. But overall, the generic shape and stance of these front-drive twins resemble those of countless past coupes. The 2007 models could be considered retro, not for returning to yesterday's styling, but for never abandoning it in the first place. Less than modern looks aside, the 2007 G5 bears the familial Pontiac grille treatment, features a pleasing and not overdone rear wing, and adds some sharp 17-inch alloys when the GT version is ordered.
