Most people don't expect the Porsche Cayenne to deliver just as competently off the road as it does on, but even with its performance tires the Cayenne goes where many SUVs can't. Low-range is easy to engage using the controls in the center of the console, and Porsche Stability Management (PSM) ensures that the wheels have maximum grip on loose road surfaces. Our test vehicles had the air suspension and rose when low-range gearing was selected for off-roading. The optional PDCC system kept the Cayenne from rocking excessively on lumpy dirt trails, and the steering required a light touch at low speed for easy maneuvering.
