We thoroughly enjoyed the drive of the 2007 Mazda CX-9. The quiet cabin lets in just the right amount of throttle note when under full power, especially in the manual-shift mode. Despite its size, it handles very much like its smaller sibling, the CX-7, with almost no body roll thanks in part to its wide track, even under spirited motoring. We did find the suspension stiff and harsh when driving over railroad tracks, but compliant in all other motoring. All-wheel-drive traction made easy work of driving on snow-covered surfaces, with nary a slip.
