"I bought the new 2008 Ford Escape three months ago. The suv handles smoothly. The noise level inside the suv is quite. This is an improvment from the 2004 Ford Escape that I previously own. "

"We have two Ford Escapes - and there is something wrong with the gas tanks - when filling it up - it clicks off constantly - takes forever to fill the tank up - head rests are stuff - I took them all out - other wise I like the car. I get 15 miles per gallon around town.

"Until Ford Service has me owning the 2008 Escape that I bought 2 months ago, I cannot say it is better than average. Since my purchase, the rear brakes were recalled and replaced. Within 2 days of the replacement, the noise is back. The service tech rode with me and agrees it could be brakes or suspension. The engine - once so quiet you wouldn't know the car was on is now not so quiet and there are pings and a softer thumping.
I miss the hand holds and internal trunk lock from the Explorer."

"My Escape overall is a good truck. It gets good gas millage bettween 22 and 25 with a 4 cylinder. plenty of leg room for taller drivers. The radio and A/C controls I like alot there large and easy to use while driving. Some of the things Ford could of done to improve the truck was put better seats in they are a little to firm. The quality is good except on the bumpers the back i'm afraid to stand on it afraid itll fall off, and the front facia grab the grill and shake it around the whole front flexes that cheap to me. My biggest complaint about the truck is the speedo its impossible to tell where exactly your 5's are (ie. 55,65) that could get you in trouble with the law. But Overall its a good truck."
