"I purchased this car new in August of 2006 and now have 22,000 miles on it. After reading some of these reviews, I feel fortunate. My car has performed flawlessly, is extremely comfortable and looks great. It is a fairly low optioned car and perhaps that has something to do with the performance."

"I am a 61 year old driver who has had over 300 cars in my lifetime from fiats, mercedes, fords, etc., etc. This is my second Audi A6 quattro. It is one of the best performing cars I have ever driven. Since I am now in Europe, I have the advantage to purchase V6 3.0l diesel, 245 hp. Unbelievable performance and mileage. On my last trip, I averaged 7 1/2 liters per 100 kilometers in speeds averaging 100 miles plus per hour (no speed limit on certain autobahns). "

"I get compliments from people, on how beautiful the car looks, no less than 2 times a week. It is a beautifully designed vehicle. I didn't like the design of the earlier model, but they got it right with this one. With that being said, I have had nothing but problems with my car! From the gas gauge not working correctly and running out of gas in the middle of the desert (on the way to Vegas), to the Check Engine light coming on the day after I got my 20,000 mile tune-up. Audi is 'grasping at straws' to come up with a reason as to why it is misfiring. I would love to tell everyone that this is the best car that I have ever had, but I can't. I am spending a lot of money on an A6, only to be driving whatever the Enterprise Rental (located within the dealership--RED FLAG?) has to offer--a Jetta, a Cherokee, an H3, an Impala, a Cadilac, and so on... The fact that I can't remember all the cars that I have had in the year and 3 months that I have had the vehicle, speaks for itself. I am really disappointed! "

"I saved my hard earned money so I could purchase my Audi A6. There have been problems since day one. I have had my car for almost a year and it has spent more time in the shop than in my garage. The dashboard lights flicker and at 1st Audi could not find out what was causing this. They had to order some kind of relay that is not available here in The U.S. They fixed it, then the breaks would always squeel, They have replaced brakes and rotors all the way around and the car still does it. They had the car in their shop for 8 days waiting on brake kits in hope of one that will stop my car from squeeling. I have since researched my car and found out all about the Audi fires they used to have in the A6 and now regret buying my car. Don't buy this car, and might I add Audi has not made this situation easy for me they are going out of their way to try to get me to keep this car, I have contacted a lawyer and am seeking counsil to help me get out of this deal with the bank. "

"I bought this car new. In 2500 miles, the 'smart start' quit, the transmission quit and the airbag light had been on for 2000 miles. Worse than that the parts were not aviable in this county! The car has been in the shop for a week, with no end in site and no loaner.
The car was awesome in every way, but this frustration is over the top and if you want something you can count on this is not the car!
It's no fun having a new hot car sitting in the shop
I traded off a Jag to avoid this problem!"
