GENERAL COMMENTS

"What does a 63 year old guy weighing 230 do with a GXP Solstice? HAVE A BALL! And scare myself. Remember I grew up with Shelby's original Cobra, Junior Johnson and Ralph Earnheart, (Dale's dad for you kids!) Nothing has ever matched the jump for 60 to 80 like this. Your mind cannot keep up so be careful and legal. Anyone know where I can go to learn to drive this beast? Get yourself in one! And dont worry when the slow short trips flood the engine. They send 3 or more trucks to get it going!! And it does."
Bill P. (Timberlake , Virginia - March, 2007)

"I purchased my 2006 Solstice in November 2006. I have driven 7,000 miles since then. The Solstice is great personal transportation. The car is the most fun I ever had behind the wheel. It handles like a dream. Get used to talking to strangers because everyone wants to know what it is. Old, young, and everyone in between like what they see. I drove the car on two long trips last year and it was a blast driving through the twisting Vermont mountain roads. Some say it doesn't have enough horsepower, but I say this 4 cylinder is deep. Drop it into forth for passing at highway speeds and tell me this car is not powerful; I bet you can't. It's not a race car anyway; it just looks like a racecar. Get used to taking drives for no reason other than having a fun day in the Solstice. Spring is coming and I will be cruising top down again soon. Solstice is top rated for resale, limited numbers will keep it that way. Not that resale matters to me because the Solstice is my long term fun car. Solstice surpassed the Miata in sales first year, and the GXP version will keep it that way. I purchased a small used wagon so my Solstice wouldn't be on the road in winter. 21 mpg city and 30 mpg highway (top down all the way). I enjoy watching people in much more expensive cars staring enviously at the Solstice at stop lights. Over a year later the Solstice is still a rare sight on the road which works for me. "
Randy P. (Dover , New Hampshire - March, 2007)

"I've owned mine for less than a week and can't get over how wrong all the pre-purchase reviews were about the quality of the car. One thing they had right on..NO Trunk space! I expected that. What I didn't expect was a crisp, smooth shifter, comfortable seats (even for my 200 pound self), great visibility, great cornering, plenty of power (for a 4 cylinder), no rattles and gorgeous styling that gets compliments everywhere! "
Duane S. (Valley , Alabama - July, 2006)

"If you want to join the miles of smiles club then buy this car! It corners like it is on rails and is very peppy to drive. This car will not win a race but it was not meant too. This is one of the most amazing vehicles on the road, and clearly the best value in the roadster market. Go order one now!"
Doug T. (Arlington , Texas - June, 2006)

"Who ever said money can't buy happiness never saw a Solstice...This is one of the most amazing vehicles on the road, and clearly the best value in the roadster market. It's impracticle, the trunk is small, and people won't leave you alone when you pull into a lot...it's PERFECT! A+++, the dream car of the decade."
David H. (Kansas City , Missouri - May, 2006)
