2010 Subaru Legacy Review
All-new, bigger, roomier, more powerful, quieter, smoother, more efficient.
"In engineering terms, the Subaru Legacy comes out clearly ahead of the its competition, including Camry, Accord, Mazda6, Altima, and Passat. The Legacy 2.5i, redesigned to begin the fifth successful generation, has plenty of power, tons of room, with luxury and comfort exceeding its class, while getting a combined 27 mpg with the CVT transmission, for a mere $21,000. If you're looking for a smooth-as-silk six-cylinder sedan, the Legacy's boxer engine is nowhere near as refined as the traditional engines found in the Accord or Camry. Four-cylinder models feel a bit sluggish under hard acceleration and fans of the turbocharged GT will have to be happy with a manual transmission, because that's the only choice."
