The 2007 Monte Carlo is a 2-door, 5-passenger family coupe, or sports coupe, available in 3 trims, ranging from the LS to the SS. Upon introduction, the LS is equipped with a standard 3.5-liter, V6, 211-horsepower, flexible fuel engine that achieves 21-mpg in the city and 31-mpg on the highway. The SS is equipped with a standard 5.3-liter, V8, 303-horsepower engine that achieves 18-mpg in the city and 27-mpg on the highway. A 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims. The 2007 Monte Carlo is a carryover from 2006.
