Can not drive on a gravel driveway or over ANY rocks in the road without risking destroying the clutch! NOT COVERED UNDER WARRENTY!!! |
Advice to buyer: |
Do not buy ANY jeep at any cost!!!! |
Detailed review: |
With 612 miles on it we took it off road through some mud. The holes in the manual transmission let mud and dirt up into the clutch. It totally burnt out within 15 miles!
After towing it to the dealer, I was told it was abuse and not covered under the 12k clutch warranty. So I took my 2wd 2003 Ford Taurus to the exact same 'mud pit' and drove it through with zero problems and it runs flawlessly ever since. The cost to fix the clutch is over 1 grand. They claim they cant turn the flywheel to fix the tiny burn spot and cant bend the 1 prong on the pressure plate that is bent 1/4 inch. They both need replaced!!!! |
