 Comments

 Favorite feature:

Getting 40+ mpg and still having a sleek, attractive appearance inside and out.

 Least favorite feature:

premature low fuel light, ticking sound from under dash, cheap trunk mat, cheap looking insturment cluster.

 Advice to buyer:

Drive other car in the class so you will know why you like this car soo much!

 Detailed review:

Great little gas miser in times of high gas prices. Yet you do not feel like you are in a low end car. I love this car even though I am not fond of small cars. The car handles well and has a smooth quiet ride. You can feel the Honda quality in this car. The performance of the car leaves a little to be desired but what do you expect from a motor that gives you 40+ miles to the gallon? My sticker said 38 on the highway and 32 in the city. I actually get 40-45 on the highway and 32-35 in the city, depending on how much hard acceleration is done. Once you realize that you don't need to burn all your gas trying to keep up with the high dollar, go fast cars, then you settle into quite a rewarding car. The fuel guage starts screaming a little early for my taste. The guage is almost to empty and the gas light is on and I can still drive the car 50-80 miles around town before I have to fill up. I keep hearing a very slight ticking sound coming from under the driver's side dashboard when I drive over bumps. I cannot hear it most of the time though, because the radio is on. I have the VP model and I don't like the differences in the insturment cluster between mine and the upgraded models. Seems to me that it costs Honda just as much to make both clusters but the one I have makes me feel like I am in a go-cart compared to the ex cluster. The trunk floor mat in the VP is cheaply made and could be nicer. There are many things I love about this car and this is quite a short list of dislikes. I recently took a 2500 mile roundtrip vacation in this car and my fuel cost was $120.00! Overall, considering the price I paid for this car, I would say that this is one of the most rewarding car purchases I have ever had. (compared to 6 other new car purchases)
