Unusual indeed is the automobile that can survive for well over a decade without significant change and still remain an enticing prospect. The 2005 Acura NSX is such an automobile. Though short on power compared to even the lowly Ford Mustang GT, the 290-horse (252 if the SportShift sequential automatic is specified), mid-engined NSX is also remarkably short on curb weight, making it agile, responsive, and a wonderful dance partner on a twisting two-lane road. Sure, the price is steep, but what cost icon ownership?
