What's New for the 2004 Toyota Avalon?
For the full-sized Toyota Avalon sedan, VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) is now available as an option for the base XL model. Otherwise, no changes are planned for the Avalon.

Advantages of the 2004 Toyota Avalon:

  • Plenty of leg and luggage space for five or six passengers
  • Typically tight Toyota build quality
  • Comfortable ride

Objections to the 2004 Toyota Avalon:

  • Aging design shows its maturity
  • Somewhat expensive
  • Not much larger than the more modern Camry

Editor's Advice:
Do you need a full-sized sedan in which to ferry four or five passengers and their belongings with a minimum of fuss and muss? Do you like the idea of a large vehicle but cringe at the thought of driving a minivan or SUV? Do you favor big, heavy sedans but shy away from Detroit steel? Then the Toyota Avalon is pretty much your only option. Since its debut in 1995, and last redesigned for 2000, the Avalon has been the car of choice for those who like to carry a lot but don’t like to put much thought into their daily driver. It’s not top-of-the-line, nor is it state-of-the-art, but with legendary Toyota reliability and quality as its calling card, the Avalon has quietly been making drivers happy for nearly a decade. Why fix what isn’t broken?
